Catherine Holcombe is a full time artist/designer from Los Angeles, California. The daughter of a photographer/cinematographer, art and beauty surrounded her as a child. In her early years, she traveled the world with her parents, finally settling in California. Catherine has studied art and business at many of the local colleges including UCLA, obtaining a business degree from California State University, Northridge. She has a fascination with maps; particularly vintage maps and charts. Catherine incorporates maps into her art and dcor designs. Maps connect people to places and times in history. There is really nothing as fascinating to me as a detailed map! As an artist, it is important to her to create art that beautifies the world for others.
